The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center is partnered with Morehouse School of Medicine and Tuskegee University in a research collaboration designed to reduce disparate rates of cancer mortality among African-Americans.
This research triangle is an effort of the National Cancer Institute, which pairs federally designated comprehensive cancer centers such as UAB and institutions of higher learning that historically serve minorities.
At UAB, these efforts are led by Drs. Upender Manne, Dr. Michael Birrer, and Isabel Scarinci. For more information, visit the partnership’s website at www.uab.edu/msm-tu-uabcccpartnership.
